Once upon a time, in a dumpster far, far away, there was a tiny kitten named Rico. Now, I don’t know if you’ve seen the back alley of a city before, but it’s not exactly the lap of luxury. Rico was cold, malnourished, and generally feeling like he’d lived all of his nine lives without even getting past kittenhood yet.
But then, one day, along came a young girl. Now, this girl had more love in her heart than a whole litter of kittens. And when she saw poor Rico just lying there, she knew she had to do something, anything to help him. So she scooped him up, took him home, and put him in a little shoe box with a warm blanket.
“Welcome to your new home, little guy,” she said to him as she gave him some milk and cookies. And you know what? From that day on, Rico grew and grew.
He may have been the runt of the litter, but he was smart. And before long, he earned a scholarship to one of the most prestigious technology institutes in the world. Of course, that meant moving far away from the girl who had rescued him. And as much as Rico loved his studies and his new friends, he missed her terribly.
So, being the smart cat that he was, he decided to create a computer program for one of his class projects that could talk to him and chat like the girl who found him used to do. The program was a huge success and soon thousands of people were using it every day.
And they dubbed him ‘Gato Rico’, which means ‘Rich Cat’ in Spanish. Because not only was Rico rich in love and gratitude for the girl who rescued him, but he had become rich in success thanks to his incredible computer skills.
And if you ask me, Rico’s tale just goes to show that no matter how small you start out, with a little bit of love, anything is possible.
